Ever since the Bronze Age, metal has been a prerequisite for human development. Over time, people have become increasingly better at extracting, refining and alloying metals to create the material properties that are optimal for each individual purpose. As demands increase, it has become more and more important to recycle or reuse metals used in products and machinery after they have become worn.
